For our first commission, we asked Tim Barber to round up a team of photographers from his web-gallery TINYVICES.COM to cover all the happenings during NY Fashion Week at Milk. The diverse team of artists brought a unique lens and original perspective to otherwise saturated “event”-style coverage.
For our ongoing partnership with Milk Studios, Leica cameras commissioned ALLDAYEVERYDAY to curate and produce a series of photo portfolios for MilkMade.com during Spring/Summer 2012 New York Fashion Week. Images were created using Leica’s prestigious M9 and S2 cameras. Contributing photographers were some of the hottest rising talent in fashion editorial, including Nacho Alegre (Apartamento magazine), Martien Mulder (Purple magazine), Ruvan (Dazed and Confused), Zoe Ghertner (Celine) and Marcelo Gomes (Harpers Bazaar and The New York Times), commissioned by ALLDAYEVERYDAY’s creative director Ken Miller. Portfolios were posted daily, as part of ALLDAYEVERYDAY’S robust editorial package for Milkmade.com
For a custom feature developed for Mac, photographer Greg Kessler photographed models’ makeup transformations. Visitors to the site could drag a “beauty bar” across the photo to see the perfectly posed before and after images.
Mariko Munro directed this series of intimate and irreverent profiles of fashion insiders including Jen Brill, Anna Sheffield, Julie Gilhart, Scott Schuman, and Derek Blasberg.
Casey Neistat took a look at fashion week as it sprints to the finish line.
Thanks to a partnership with Livestream.com, we also live stream between fifteen to twenty fashion shows per season. Typically this amounts to over two million aggregate minutes of streaming views per season.
In addition to exclusive editorial content, Milk Made also features cell phone submissions from both a select group of friends & family, and the general public. Around events, sponsors partner with Milk to create content themes and custom photo watermarks.
